Magic in the Air!

So, this will be short and sweet. On Thursday, I attended the Minnesota Employee and Recreation Services Council's Annual Vendor Fair. Every year has a theme and this year it was magic! I went and it was awesome! They had so much amazing food and every vendor had drawings, plus there were special drawings just for the MERSC Rep's - ME! Guess what? I won something....something AMAZING. I couldn't even believe it!

What did I win? Ok, I won't drag it out. I won a Signed Jim Thome Game Used Baseball and a Mini Replica of Target Field! I was beyond ecstatic - it was just waiting there like it knew I was coming!! I am slowly building up a collection of Twins Memorabilia to put in our basement (when we have a basement). Currently, they are in the game room, which works for now. I could say more, but I have to go...I'll give you one guess as to where? Yup, a Twins Game! I am not addicted! Is denial a sign that you are? I just love them!

Strange Addictions

So, I have been told by two people in the last few days I should be on the show Strange Addictions. I have never seen the show and heard a couple examples of the people with addictions on their show - girl can only eat 5 TBSP of Sugar in a day, man addicted to body building to the point of injury, boy eats roll of toilet paper a day...I personally don't think my so called "addiction" is THAT strange. I am a Twins fan, I am a Twins enthusiast, but I don't think that's a strange addiction, do you?

I would say only 25% of what I talk about is Twins-related in a day. I can't help it. Sometimes, you fall in love and you never know with what or who! I LOVE THE TWINS! This blog may be the ultimate decider if I do, indeed, have a strange addiction. I know that my next 3-4 posts will most likely be about the Twins, but don't let that skew the overall percentage...it's just that it's the Twins Home Opener Weekend and I have tickets for all 3 games!!!

Ok, so this is my first post...

I laugh at my title of my blog, "Action Generates Motivation," because it's true. I set up the blog, but have not posted in like 3 weeks since. I just have to do one, I keep telling myself. It doesn't have to be epic, it just has to motivate you to do another.

People always ask me "where do you work?" because I am always doing random, awesome things. The truth is...it doesn't matter where I work. Half of the things I do have nothing to do with work or are only slightly the result of where work. I just chose to put myself out there and find out what is happening in the world around me. Thus, action generates motivation and the result is my life.

This blog has no real purpose. I will share many things (I hope) such as, MN Twins info, crafts, good deals, food, music, my travel journal, etc. My original intention was to re-write my Travel Journal from when I lived in Alnwick, England. It has been almost 6 years since I lived there and everything seems to be fading. It almost seems like I never lived there at all as time goes by.

Anyway, I think I will have a lot to say in the coming months, as tomorrow is the Twins Home Opener and I will be at Game 1 and Game 2 and Game 3! And with that, I will share what I told my friend this morning (if you don't mind the cliche)!

Tickets for 3 Twins Games Opening weekend = $240
New Twins Sweatshirt from Victoria Secret = $55
Parking all 3 days = $45
Food at Target Field all 3 days = $45
After game celebrations = $35
Being at the Home Opener Weekend = PRICELESS!
